The program

The Innovation Lab is La Plateforme's responsible innovation training program.

For 4 to 6 months, the program teaches participants complementary innovation management skills. It includes training in various innovation methodologies from the fields of design and collective intelligence.

Each lab is co-designed with one or more professional partners, with whom we choose a theme.

The Social Networks of Tomorrow lab is run in partnership with Project Liberty.

Each cohort is interdisciplinary, bringing together participants from a range of backgrounds, including design, technology, social sciences, and entrepreneurship. Learn more about the Social Networks of Tomorrow lab.

The Lab’s theme

The community as focus

Local communities are at the heart of this training program, whether they’re made up of activists, doctors, migrants, hip-hop artists, fashion designers, or neighbors. We want to understand whether and to what extent current social networks are suited to their collective efforts, and imagine decentralized, autonomous and tailor-made use cases.

The aim of the program is to create a proof of concept (POC), a social network prototype designed for a specific community.

Various concepts within the emerging definition of Web3—such as decentralization, blockchain, DAOs, and NFTs (here's a friendly glossary from Spike Magazine)—form the theoretical framework for the learners' proposals. The main idea of the lab is to think of social networks in a social way.
